Judgement Day : Intelligent Design on Trial

In 2005 the town of Dover, Pennsylvania, was torn apart by a landmark trial which essentially pitted religious faith against Darwinism in explaining the origins of life. A case was taken by the local high school science teachers against a Pennsylvania school board for demanding the teaching of “intelligent design” i.e: creationism - over evolution.
The plaintiffs successfully argued that intelligent design is a form of creationism and that the school board policy therefore violated the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment to the United States Constitution.
Federal judge John E Jones III decision sparked considerable response from both supporters and critics.
I found this link today to the excellent Nova series about the trial that is now available to watch free online.
