Well, not really but it’s a great attention grabbing headline anyway. The Victorian Humanists have drafted a curriculum to be taught in primary schools as an alternative to religion which apparently will be approved by the state government accreditation body . This article in the Age has some details but no doubt it will be a big news story this week.

Fantastic news, let’s hope that the lunatic god followers don’t manage to get the decision overturned - and I wouldn’t hold my breath waiting for it to actually be implemented.

Opponents of the idea are using the line that as humanism or atheism isn’t a religion - it shouldn’t be allowed to be taught as such. Now, that’s a turnaround! The ratbags yell at us that because we ‘believe’ in atheism it’s a religion then when it suits them they do an about face… sigh.

It should be pointed out to those who support preaching in schools that the Humanist curriculum is in fact, the only one that should be allowed in schools as it intends to educate kids about religions, what some believe and what some don’t believe - and allow them to make up their own minds about it! Religious study doesn’t exist in this country only religious indoctrination.

We wouldn’t want our children exposed to FACTS about religion - we just want them to be taught to believe in what we believe.

Again, that isn’t religious study - it’s indoctrination and the sooner it’s REMOVED from schools, the sooner we can begin to rid ourselves of this dangerous nonsense that infects all societies.
