You don’t like to be pushy - after all, it is one of the things we despise about the ‘born-again’ variety of fundamentalist christians (or any religion) - but sometimes you need to just subtly make a statement about your lack of belief.
We found a great idea from SnapFish a few weeks back - Magic Mugs. A clever invention that just look like normal black mugs until hot liquid is poured into them. Then ‘magically’ the mug changes colour and reveals whatever photo or text you choose to order them with. In my case I chose one of my favourite atheist quotes - ‘Primates often have trouble imagining a universe not run by an angry alpha male’ and added a funny ‘bemused chimp’ image I found on the ‘net somewhere.
Of course, you do have to be careful which visitor you give the mug to (or in some extreme cases if you even use it yourself) when they pop in for a coffee, after all insulting visitors or relatives is never a good idea - but if you just need to make a subtle(?) point now and again then this would have to be one of the cleverer ways of doing so!
Much safer than atheist bumper stickers of course. I had seriously considered adding one to my car, but it’s still in reasonable condition and I don’t fancy the panelbeater’s bills if an outraged ‘christian’ saw it in the carpark and decided to key it…

That ‘magic’ mugs are a great idea, though you might end up with coffee all over the place when visitors spray their coffee in surprise at the message.
I’ve had atheist bumper stickers on my car for a few weeks now, no vandalism yet.
